Loved the spacious rooms and the rooftop pool was awesome. Enjoyed the live music performances in the evenings. The check-in took longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating. a nice place if you want to explore the Riverwalk.

Staying here was great since it’s right by the San Antonio Riverwalk, making it super easy to stroll along the beautiful waterfront and enjoy nearby attractions like The Alamo, only about a 10-minute walk away, or the Briscoe Western Art Museum, which is less than a 5-minute walk from your front door; plus, there are plenty of dining options like Casa Rio and Zinc Bistro just a few steps away, perfect for relaxing meals after a day of exploring. The hotel itself offers nice amenities, but the housekeeping service could use some improvement.

The staff were exceptional—Marco, the valet, and Savannah at the desk truly made us feel welcomed. Amanda's cocktails were a highlight, alongside the great food we ordered. Gigi in the spa was a delight and tailored a special birthday gift for my daughter. But, breakfast fell flat, and the coffee was weak, salvaged only by an attentive waitress. Our room felt dated with minimal toiletries, and the rooftop pool was smaller than expected. Service issues with valet and delayed elevators were frustrating, and unclear charges left me confused. A mixed bag of experiences left me unsure about a return visit.

Location is excellent. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious, and the layout is a refreshing change from typical hotels. The rooftop pool has great views. key issues marred my experience. A broken door lock delayed me upon arrival. Noise from neighboring rooms was unbearable at night. Outdated facilities—malfunctioning outlets, a slow drain, and an unclean environment—detracted from the comfort. Parking is overpriced. Easy alternative nearby. The breakfast was enjoyable. Service needs improvement; time management was lacking. Despite the highlights, important details went neglected. This hotel has potential, but it must address crucial shortcomings to meet high expectations.

The location was top-notch, right by the river and close to all the main attractions in Downtown. The room was spacious with a separate living area and a nice work desk. The staff was outstanding, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, with noticeable stains on the carpet and couch. The lack of personal toiletries in the bathroom was disappointing, and the shared shower products felt unsanitary.

I had a blast at Spa on National Rosé Day, feeling fancy with rose-infused treatments. The complimentary rose-infused cold towels were a lovely touch. The dinner package with valet parking and margaritas was a treat!
Apparently, Housekeeping believes making beds is an optional service.

Comfortable beds, comfortable amenities with a spacious suite that had everything we needed and direct access to the beautiful Riverwalk right outside the hotel.

The location was amazing, with everything we wanted to do within walking distance. The staff was friendly and competent, making our time there enjoyable. there were some areas that could have been better. The room temperature was a bit of an issue, as the thermostat seemed outdated and the room was quite warm. It made it hard to get a good night's sleep comfortably, even on top of the sheets. The lack of a working refrigerator in the room was also disappointing, as we couldn't save our leftovers from a special birthday lunch. the staff, especially Eddie aka Fast Eddie, went above and beyond to address our concerns. They even comped us breakfast on our final day, which was a nice gesture. The restaurant had great food, and the staff there were wonderful as well. The Contessa has its pros and cons.

We had a blast exploring the Riverwalk, jamming to live music nearby, and chilling at the rooftop pool. The vibes were on point, and we could easily hit up all the fun events and activities within walking distance. It was epic!
Just one small thing - it would've been even more epic if there were more late-night party options for us young folks.

The room was spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. Streaming to the TV from my device was a nice touch, along with the cozy couch to relax on. Temperature control worked perfectly, keeping the suite just right. the carpet showed some stains, and one towel had an unfortunate mark. The second TV in the bedroom was non-functional, but I didn’t raise a concern. Noise level was minimal, allowing for a peaceful atmosphere. The lack of a microwave was surprising and the price felt slightly high for the amenities.

The check-in process was a nightmare—our room wasn't ready for over an hour, and when we finally got in, the door lock was broken. Housekeeping barged in early twice, thinking we were already checked out. Just really frustrating!

Had a cozy xmas stay at a hotel with spacious suites and a rooftop gym that offered beautiful views. The staff members were all friendly, making the stay welcoming and enjoyable. The room size was larger than usual, and the location was perfect for exploring the vibrant surroundings of the riverwalk.
Although the rooms were comfortable, some cleanliness issues were noted, like lingering hair in the shower. The noise from the street and the hotel bar was noticeable, affecting the quality of sleep.

I had a wonderful stay at Contessa - Suites On the Riverwalk. the staff was very kind and accommodating. the suite was spacious and comfortable, and the location by the riverwalk was delightful. the concierge, Thurston, was great, and the bell hop was friendly and helpful. the riverwalk cruise associated with Ambler bar was perfect, and the overall experience made me want to make this a holiday tradition with my family.

We had a blast exploring The Riverwalk with our kids, every activity was walking distance from our hotel , it truly felt like a vibrant city playground. We even enjoyed live music by up, and, coming local talents , the perfect soundtrack to our family adventures.
My wife says that the hotel could improve by adding a designated kids' club for families with children.

Felt that it is secure, no complaints.
